Community is for everyone

We are making Maryland a better place to live by building communities where everyone has access to housing, resources and opportunities.

We Develop Vibrant Communities

Chesapeake Community Development builds communities that are equitable, accessible, and fully inclusive.

We partner with local partners and businesses to integrate services, affordable and luxury housing, retail, and beautiful green spaces—making for a truly diverse and robust community where everyone has access to amenities, resources, and opportunities.

Port Street Commons

Chesapeake Community Development is leading the construction of Port Street Commons in partnership with The Arc Central Chesapeake Region, Chesapeake Neighbors, and a wide range of stakeholders to create access and opportunities for the people of the Town of Easton and the Mid-Shore.

The Laura House

Chesapeake Community Development is building a 5,500+-square-foot historic home to create The Laura House. Once completed, this property will boast 7 two-bedroom apartment units. Located on August Street in downtown Easton, this property is part of Chesapeake Community Development’s small-scale, scattered-site approach.

Easton Crossing

Chesapeake Community Development is leading the construction of Easton Crossing, which is located at the Perdue historic agricultural site in Easton. Partnering with the community, Chesapeake Community Development will create a vibrant multi-purpose space that will include a mix of housing, retail, and recreational space and will reflect the diverse needs of the community around it.

Silo Square

As part of its small, scattered site approach, Chesapeake Community Development is leading the construction of Silo Square in Easton. Partnering with the community, Chesapeake Community Development will create a thriving neighborhood that will support the various housing needs of the community by offering quality mixed-income town-home rentals.
